The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for completing technical deliverables on projects assigned.
Engineer's technical deliverables on small or moderate size Global Infrastructure Services or Client projects reporting directly to assigned Project Manager, or staff resource responsible for completing assigned deliverables on large scale global projects reporting directly to the Global Infrastructure Services Technical/Team Lead.
Responsible for producing Global Infrastructure Services deliverables meeting or exceeding benchmarks for quality and performance in accordance with the project timeline.
Responsible for maintaining effective and consistent communication within you team, within IE peer teams, and the resources in other IT groups. Proactively raise issues to Team Leads when necessary.
Provides Level 4 support to Operations in the field of expertise.
Essential functions of the job:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Experienced technical knowledge in specialty area with basic knowledge of complementary infrastructures
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Develop and deliver infrastructure solutions
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Maintain adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Provide support and documentation to assist in sustaining the project during the transition to production
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Adhere to Global Infrastructure Services methodologies and Enterprise Architecture global standards.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Provide feedback regarding Global Infrastructure Services methodologies, standards and leading practices
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Identify potential points of contention for missed activities and notify project leadership of situation
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Produce accurate, brief and clearly written documents tailored to audience needs and expectations
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Build positive relationships with internal professionals and client personnel by demonstrating integrity and genuineness
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Develop a diverse network of relationships with others that entail mutual sharing of ideas, knowledge, and resources

o Global Infrastructure Services to build solutions as part of end-to-end projects
o Operations managers to effectively and efficiently support the project during the transition phase

ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Knowledge of Internet X.509 Public Key Certificate Infrastructure
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Knowledge of Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and Single Sign on (SSO) Technologies
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Understanding of Smart Card Authentication
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Knowledge of PKI monitoring requirements
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Knowledge of Cryptographic APIs : CAPI (CNG)
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Knowledge of PKI Test Tools : PKIF, PITT
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Ensure documentation reflects PKI infrastructure
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Understanding of Kerberos-based single sign on authentication
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Ability to coordinate and support large and complex projects including upgrades, enhancements and new capabilities deployed to the PKI infrastructure
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Understanding of Windows 2003/2008/2012 and Linux server operating system basics
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Basic understanding of networking, including DNS, WINS, firewalls, DMZ, public and private networks, and VPNs
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Knowledge of Active Directory infrastructures
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Self-starter with strong organizational skills, strong sense of teamwork, and attention to detail
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Ability to work with virtual teams spanning multiple geographies, cultures, and time zones

Experience with implementing and supporting Federation technologies, including Active Directory Federated Services, Siteminder, and other SAML-based products

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
