Job Summary:
The GAP Program Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of the Global Account Provisioning Program to schedule, budget, and quality. The role requires mastery of the technical knowledge of program/project management inter-related process stages i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management. Proficiency in related processes such as portfolio management, program management, methods and tools and quality assurance is also required. The program manager must have excellent stakeholder relationship management skills to successfully lead and manage the project team and project stakeholders, and have expertise recognized and requested by customers.
Essential Functions of the Job:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Successfully execute the overall program to agreed schedule, budget and scope
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Ensure project managers are performing the relevant project management processes - i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Plan the program and associated projects based on a defined need - results in detailed scope/budget/schedule baseline
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Monitor and control the work to ensure that the overall program remains on track and in control
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Plan for and manage change
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Reports on variances to the approved program baseline
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Open and close projects as needed within the program, ensure formalized acceptance of the project results and manage program and project resources accordingly
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Interface and communicate with project teams, management and stakeholders
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Manage work and resources to enable successful and timely completion of all projects within the program
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Performs gate reviews and quality assurance reviews with all aspects of IT organization and business sponsors
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Delivery of projects aligned to overall business and technology strategies and architectures
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Work within defined governance processes
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Manage external contracts and suppliers where required
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Support development of business cases with the customer team including leading on the solutions estimate
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Develop objectives, phasing and content of the projects to deliver on the business case benefits, budget and timescales
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Manage to the objectives and plan by thorough risk, issue and change management across both business and IT parts of the program
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Ensures that quality program and project standards are met as prescribed by IT Services through the effective implementation or use of approved processes, methodologies and deliverables
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Monitors and manages the program to ensure project activities are occurring as planned - scope, budget and schedule - manages variances
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Proactively identify risks and issues on the program - providing guidance and leading the team to develop risk management and issues management plans
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Identifies potential points of contention for missed deliverables; creates and implements strategy to mitigate shortfalls in timeline and budget
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Anticipates problems before they occur; defines the problem or risk; identifies possible causes; works with team to identify solutions; selects and implements most appropriate solution
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Develop and manage plans to address program strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Analytical skills and problem solving skills needed to manage multiple factors on a program simultaneously
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Demonstrate business analytics to manage and meet sponsor and customer needs
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Provide leadership and guidance to all program team members.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Remove roadblocks from projects to help clear the path for timely and successful project delivery
Supervision Responsibilities:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Direct supervision provided by an experienced Solution Delivery Manager on a weekly or as needed basis
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ The program manager is expected to act independently to deliver program to schedule, budget and scope; support provided as required and requested, and is self-driven and motivated
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ The program manager leads project teams consisting of cross functional, global, and virtual groups; directly supervises staff; assigns responsibility to members; monitors progress
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ The program manager coaches, mentors and supports less experienced project managers
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Experience of managing IT programs and projects with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost for large, complex projects typically up to $10m in value and 18 to 36 months in duration
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Mastery of program and project management methodology, tools and templates (includes project planning, schedule development, scope management and cost management)
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Extensive experience of delivery that includes the use of supplier and off-shore resources
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Experienced in managing to contract; ensuring clients and suppliers alike perform in accordance with original agreement
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Experience across packaged and bespoke systems and infrastructure, ideally on an international basis
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Management skills to manage one or more large, complex projects simultaneously
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ IT background with experience across the systems development life cycle with experience in all project phases - plan, initiate, elaborate, design, build, test, implement.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Knowledge and use of industry-standard project methods, tools and techniques e.g. RAIDS, budget, communication
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Strong team working skills across matrixed client, supplier and geographically dispersed virtual teams
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Strong communication and interpersonal skills (includes negotiation)
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Leader in the use of IT methodologies, processes and standards for program and project management
Experience:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ 15 to 20 years in a corporate IT environment
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ 7 to 15 years experience in project management
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Other relevant experience in a related technical field (application development, deployment/implementation and infrastructure)
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Work experience in a professional services industry, preferred
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Significant work experience leading infrastructure, network, security, and/or software development projects
Education:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience
Certification Requirements
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Project management certification is preferred (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2)
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3 would be advantageous
Other Requirements:
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ National and international travel may be required
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Must have extensive knowledge Identity and Access Management and have significant experience in delivering projects in these technical areas.
ΓΆΒ ΒΆ Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
