This position will support the Inventory Control functions within the Finance organization. This support includes the items noted in key Accountabilities. This position will work closely with the groups within the Accounting, Financial Planning. Sales Audit, Store Operations and Distribution Center teams to ensure accurate and timely transmission of data in order to prepare financial statements and other reporting requirements.
Monthly closing of the inventory accounts including;
Account reconciliations including perpetual inventory and accrued receipts.
Analysis of gross margins by channels and divisions
Reconciliation of cycle counts and annual physical inventories for retail stores and Distribution Center inventory.
Analysis of on hand inventory to assist Director in supporting the business to identify and manage distressed inventory.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
SAP knowledge is required
Experience in inventory control and related areas, such as Accounts Payable or Purchasing preferredRetail experience preferred
Business Knowledge and Critical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent skills in Excel.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Highly organized and strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong multi-tasking ability with disposition that remains calm and unaffected by changing direction
Flexibility during month-end and year-end inventory process which is fast-paced and extremely time-sensitive
Familiarity with General Ledger and Stockledger/Merchandising systems a plus

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
