We are searching for a qualified and experienced Director of Dietary Services to provide overall leadership and direction to our Dietary Department.
Responsibilities:
Formulate departmental goals and objectives that align with the organization's mission.
Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with the Nutrition Care Manager and/or Clinical Dietitian to create and review menus that provide high-quality and nutritious meals to patients, considering physician-ordered restrictions.
Oversee staff in planning and providing nutritious meals to employees and visitors, at reasonable prices.
Develop and deliver training programs for all dietary department personnel.
Manage all aspects of the department's budget.
Continuously monitor and improve the department's performance through professional development and staying updated on the latest trends in food service delivery.
Participate in meetings and collaborate with other department heads to address any issues related to patient food service.
Provide in-house catering services for meetings and events, as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in food service management, dietetics, or a related field (preferred).
Extensive experience in managing a dietary services department in a healthcare setting.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate, develop, and collaborate with a team.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Budget management expertise and innovative ideas.
Passion for food and nutrition, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care Job Type:
