Summary:
The Backup Administrator provides 7-day, 24-hour backup infrastructure administration and technology support for SAN fabric and enterprise backup infrastructure for EY Data Centers. This professional is responsible for implementing and maintaining stability of the backup infrastructure in EY globally. The job requires backup provisioning, performance management and capacity planning for tape SAN and backup infrastructure. The position requires resolving incidents for all data centers globally. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the firm's complex infrastructure environment and the ability to apply that knowledge to resolve complex issues.

Ability to deal efficiently with difficult situations under pressure, such as restoring services

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Excellent Symantec NetBackup skills with version 7.5/7.6 on Windows, Unix and Linux platforms, utilizing ACSLS in an enterprise Master and Media server environment using SSO
Strong knowledge of tape SAN Fabric using Brocade switches - Director class and edge technology, zoning and configuration
Strong knowledge of EMC Data Domain and NetBackup SLP
Strong troubleshooting skills for both tape SAN and NetBackup technology
Strong Brocade encryption devices - setup and troubleshooting
Strong scripting skills in Shell and Perl
Strong knowledge of OS platforms are needed for HP-UX, Linux and Windows - LVM, MPIO, HBA, Drivers
Experience:
5
years of relevant work experience (experience in various aspects of NetBackup administration preferred)
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Certification Requirements:
NetBackup 7.x CertificationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
