Job Summary

The Sr. E-Commerce Business Analyst is responsible for documenting functional, non-functional, performance and process requirements for all web commerce and multi-channel projects, in the following areas:
E-Commerce and Marketing
Merchandising, PO Management, Inventory Management
Sales Auditing and Tax Processing
Enterprise middleware, integrations and reporting

Essential Duties

Analysis and Definition
Identify/understand business issues and opportunities
Assist business partners in identifying and prioritizing new capabilities
Identify system, process and organizational strengths and weaknesses, and suggest areas of improvement
Define and document project scope, requirements, SW specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions
Define Use Cases
Develop functional specs and system design specs for new capabilities
Identify and define user training

Strategic Planning
Monitor/understand leading practices and industry trends and make recommendations to business partners as appropriate
Work with business partners to define the vision for future capabilities (processes/technology/organization)
Work with business and IT leadership to develop the strategy to achieve the vision
Translate the strategy into projects and programs on the IT Strategic Roadmap

Technical Recommendations and Testing
Work with business partners to identify and manage required changes
Communicate with technical leads and architects on the needed changes
Assist PM in the creation of project estimates
Provide guidance to QA/UAT teams

Problem Solving
Identify and address critical issues effectively
Identify the right person(s) to provide the solution to critical issue
Manage and coordinate varying points of view to solve a problem
Exhibit confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems




Other Functions

Communication
Conduct business requirements/scoping meetings and workshops
Deliver informative, well-organized scope documents and requirements
Communicate effectively with both business and technical partners
Organize meetings and deliverables to make the most efficient use of business partner and development team members' time
Establish and maintain strong business relationships with the following key contacts:
Marketing Managers
Business Partners
Project Managers
SW Developers

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience. BA or PM Certifications a plus
Possess Strong understanding of Application Development and system design
Understands system limitation and boundaries and applies in solution definition
Identifies which components of a new capability are best defined as process or system based
Hands on experience in Direct Retailing
3-5 years of experience in a BA role
Experience with Agile development a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
